The Difference Between Nordic and UP (Upper Paleolithic)

What is the difference between Nordic and UP? I have heard varying theories regarding the racial orgin of Nordics. Including theories that state they are reduced UP's,depigmented Meds, and Proto-Indo-Europeans coming into Europe from the Steppes of Western Asia.

I have read that Nordics evolved near the Danube, or atleast proto-Nordics, then moved further North. While the Upper paleolithic survivors, Brunn and Borreby subtypes, have lived in Scandinavia for a longer time and have thus evolved more to its extreme climate.

There is also an interesting interpretation of Norse mythology regarding the Aesir/Vanir battle. According to some historians this war could be a reminiscence of the fights between of aboriginal UPs and their fertility-cult (Vanir) against the new arriving Nordic Battle-Axe people with their warrior religion (Aesir). Like in the myth they finally made peace and the Germanic people emerged out of their intermixture.

UP types are considered the descendants of the Cro Magnon people, while the origins of Nordics are still obscure.

Cro-Magnon man was a type of caveman. Of course I'm sure he, and probably others, can be much more insightful than I.

Cro-Magnon man was the first type of Modern Homo Sapiens to settle Europe after the exodus out of Africa and replaced Neanderthals causing their extinction. Modern Humans migrated out of Africa some 200,000 years ago but Europe was only settled 40,000 years ago from migrations out of Near East and Central Asia. Since then Europe has a few other major Migrations the Neolithic(12,000 yrs ago) being the most recent one and the one that brought Agricultural and Indo-European language to Europe.
