I hope Vitali can pull it off. The odds are against it; notice how Lewis has 4" more reach than Vitali even though he is 2.5" shorter... Blacks simply have longer arms, which gives them a natural advantage in boxing.

I have really been looking forward to this one for months, although Vitali's prospects are rather bleak, but he can always surprise us.

It would be groovy if the boxing world could sport a white(?) champion again.

Well, they aren't Nords, for sure, but I'd consider them white.

Epilogue for those that didn't catch the fight:

The attending doctor asked the referee to stop the fight after the 6th round due to an eye injury suffered by Klitschko. I saw a good close up of that cut and it was pretty damn bad. I'm surprised they let him fight on for another two rounds after the cut had really opened up.

Lewis was declared the winner by TKO, but accoring to all three ringside judges, all the commentators, and Sigrun's own personal score card, Klitschko was ahead by at least two rounds (only one on mine, actually).

Lewis was fat, slow, had lead in his boots & looked like he was stoned through most of the fight. Klitschko was in much better shape and by my estimate, would have won if the fight had gone on - if not by KO, then by decision.

Vitali was robbed. Rematch.
