That's the real Canadian anthem, and the Red Ensign is the real Canadian flag. We're just in the era of the Maple Leaf rag because we're pushing for a *New* identity as a refugee state with the B'Nai B'rith at the fore and the 'Canadian Human Rights Comission' doing it's dirty work.

The Canadian flag is ugly and not for its colours or even the Maple Leaf, but for its pandering to the Tricolour format, when the Bonapartes never ruled Canada. Canada was safely ensconced in the world of Wellington and Nelson since Wolfe perished. I wouldn't want to concede any inch to that monstrosity on the Continent. Quebec naturally could resort to the fleur d'lys, as a replacement for it on the English Royal Arms; it's not like anyone else is using it, outside the Borbon escutcheon on the Spanish Royal Arms.
