maybe the dutch are still growing because they have more than enough food just like most west europeans have, but compared to scandinavia, it doesnt hurt to be tall in the temperate area around the netherlands. sweden and norway, even denmark, may have too cold a climate or severe a winter for the human body to want to grow any more, it would be wiser to have a little more bulk on the body rather than be tall and slender, even if that costs you a few inches.

Who knows, best the chinese dont figure out thier super growing secret, otherwise well have 6 and a half foot asian supermen on our hands. heh

You can find other types aswell, such as Dalo-Faelid and other CM types...I dont think the Dutch are predominatly any one thing, but rather a mix of the Nordid types and the CM types, just like the north-germans.

This is just my opinion.

I think the Dutch would have a good basis for height - they've got the tall Med strains, Nordids, Keltics, A-S & Troender, and are probably relatively bereft of reduced cold-adapted CM types who are found in Scandinavia and the edges of the British Isles (and of course French/German Alpinids).

No idea how factual this claim is, but I have a Dutch friend who lives in Amsterdam, and she told me that many Dutch beleive the reason they are so tall, on average, is because of all the milk they drink.
