    none taken!

i love west virginia, its just a classic joke,
but new jersey especially north jersey are new york city wannabees,
and south jersey thinks they are the south.

its really quite funny to watch their struggle for identity

Worst Anthropologists in order of error: Franz Boas, Stephen J. Gould (a paleontologist who meddled in anthropology saying there was no such thing as race, Claude Levi-Strauss, clearly crazy, Margaret Meade, clearly a lame, crazy bitch, Ashley Montague, wrong about everything, Chris Stringer, uses typological examples to make his case then puts typological anthro. down, all the old-time arm-chair "anthropologists" of the 19th Century, Frazier, Weber, throw in Levi-Strauss as he fits here too.

Best Anthropologists: geneticists who are again studying race after the 40 year imposed exile by Boas, Agrippa isn't bad but the best Anthropologist we ever had was Atlanto-med/Morfrain Encilgar. No reflection on Agrippa but she lived and breathed this stuff to the point of obsession. She was the best all around I ever saw.

THe Golden Bough is one of the greatest books of all time.

Yea, I had to listen to hours of boring discussion of Frazier by anyone who pretended to teach Cultural Anthropology. My eyes glazed over after the first five minutes. My eyes are glazing over right now just remembering it all.

While I think some of those people definitely belong on that list, I'd like to see some of the evidence justifying them being there.
For Boas and Mead, there were allegations of fraud and deceptions. I'm not sure for the others - Any evidence against them. Please place links.

Boas and Levi-Strauss were not as awful as their admirers present them: both were race realists and Boas trained Kroeber. Montague merely defamed others and a WASP lesbian named Ruth Benedict deserves more flak than Mead.

All those fossils you mentioned cost us 50 years of science. Actually, none ever did science. Some like Levi-Strauss never pretended to do so. We have learned more from Dr. Svante Paabo than all these guys X100. Make that X10000000000.
