Funny how the OP asked about the Angles and it went right out the window with the bathwater. Angles have Yngvi for a folk god, like the Frisians with Freyr and this is united as Yngvi-Freyr, among Anglo-Frisian peoples. Saxons have a rather obscure folk religious origin, but Jutes--along with Geats and Goths, might be associated with Odin. All are Ingvaeonic, but perhaps Jutes and Saxons not centrally so. It's simply observable that English folkish tribal roots are spread through the three countries historically with a Frisian coast of the North Sea, so it's ironic that Angeln is on the Baltic Sea instead, on the flip side away from Friesland. I don't know how this makes Angles and Frisians particularly close.
