Arthur Kemp in his "March of the titans" used this emperor (known also as "Philip the Arab") as an example of racial mongrelism in the late Roman Empire, but honestly i don't see anything "mixed in him and he looks perfectly Europid, IMO.

I have a good book about ancient Roman Art and there's a quite big picture of this statue and i was really impressed by the realism of his portrait, he really looked like a modern day European

"E tutti si scandalizzano quando sentono dire: quel tale tipo di mammifero o di uccello ormai è sparito dalla faccia della terra, non lo vedremo più; è una grave perdita. Certo, si tratta di gravissime perdite.
Ma non sarebbe forse più grave se sparisse una comunità umana?? --Bruno Salvadori

Seven pictures of northern European males and seven pictures of northern African males were presented randomly via a computer screen to 82 Italian female undergraduates of the University of Padua, Italy.
Each picture depicted a full frontal face with a neutral facial expression. Participants were asked to classify each picture as either northern Italian or southern Italian.
On average, the seven pictures depicting northern Europeans were classified as northern Italians 81% of the time. The seven pictures depicting northern Africans were classified as southern Italians 83%
    of the time.

Yeah, there is a nice big thread running now on SF about MOTT. His genetic 'evidence' is already refuted. I was suspicious about Philip and because I'm no expert in anthropology, I thought, that it might be a good idea to post him on Skadi.

Well for me is perfectly caucasoid, there's nothing exotic in him.
i have taken a pic from the book with my cell, the quality isn't perfect but i think you can see the portrait in a better way now...the halo was caused by the artificial light

That March of Titans seems to be nothing but a book promoting slandering against S.Europeans in particular. That Kemp guy looks like a clown. I saw many good posts on their refuting that garbage one from Admirer of Perun, neopagan, crusader,Hellinas and Ethnistis. Kemp seems to be stuck lol. Anyways I think its a shame that he should write material like that.

I highly respect Nords and their wonderful history!

Does not look Arab at all, just a healthy European.

I wonder if a Berber example could approach his look?
