Herrlich! I always had a weakness for the Reichsparteitag. I love the eternal greatness and uncompromising aesthetics of Reichsparteiteg formations, architecture etc. I love especially the thrilling beauty of nocturnal rallies with golden sparkling eagles, fire magic and light cathedrals.

Hitler had an extraordinary talent in all these things. He also had excellent people (Speer, v. Arent) who could realize his colossal "opera phantasies".

It was always my opinion that an Occidental renewal movement of the future not only should have the great, eternal ideas, but also should transform these ideas into emotions, make these ideas visible in the material world.
The blustering populist in the beer tent is not really my last ideal of a political-spiritual Leader, but rather the demigod who rules over the masses in front of titanic colonnades under the light cathedral.

I never heard of a forum not allowing linking. Pretty bizarre. Of course, they don't have a copy right on those images, so they have no case. As a matter of fact, those images are in the public domaine and don't belong to them in the first place. I could've just posted them here instead, though.

Legally speaking, they don't seem to have a leg to stand on.

As to the images, they exude Wagnerian atmospherics. AH didn't invent anything, such torch lit parades, for e.g., have always been part of the German character and Teutonic psyche.

Hitler's "opera phantasies" surely go back to his love for Wagner and art, but in their gigantism and perfection, the NS rallies are unique, and the will to realize all this goes back to Hitler.

(Aaah... that image first worked when I wrote my posting...)

Here's the official information side of Nuremberg on the party rallies. If you click on Begrüßung, you can change the language into English: http://www.nuernberg.de/tourismus/ru...frame_rpg.html

God, I wish that I had lived during those blessed days when Germany was German and an awesome world superpower and the envy of the entire world.

That was such a golden period.

Here's the Nuremberg chapter from Geoff Walden's very interesting "Third Reich in Ruins" page: http://thirdreichruins.com/nuernberg2.htm

Sad to see the photos of the area, how it looks today, compared with the old ones. I personally have never been at the Nuremberg Reichsparteitag area; I probably also refuse to take a look at it because it would be a shock to see with my own eyes how it went to seed and decayed. I remember having read an interview with some person of the Nuremberg municipal authorities where he said that it is the strict will of the city to let the area go to seed totally so that the buildings lose their "fascinating" character. :scream

I'm reminded at times such as these of Dr. Pierce's wise words:

"When the day comes, we will not ask whether you swung to the right or
whether you swung to the left; we will simply swing you by the neck."

    -Dr. William L. Pierce
