Some Armenian sirnames are of a clan or father name, like Geragos (from Gazaria) or Giubas (from Kelmiya), without ian, or Hagopian, Hagapov. IAN, means origination, and ov literally means of. Armenians did not use IAN, or OV untill the Turks arrived around 1500's, originally to identify themselves between Greeks (since names were similar of Greek and Armenian). Unless they were from Eastern Armenia.

Many Armenians lived in Iran and intermarried and became muslims, as they have been there for hundreds of years, and many armenians there also look Iranian, as in Turkey, many old Armenian communities became Turks, although still speaking their dialect, with the Armenian alphabet, claim themselves Turks (Turkish brainwashing). It matters where the family is from, Lebanon also has Armenian communities but Lebanese are Christian and intermarriages only occured with Christian Lebanese, and not Arabs/Palestinians.

Cher is half Armenian, but it is obvious she is half her hair is black, and eyes too, shes half American Indian. I would say her features are very Armenian..but then again ive met black haired Armenian women too. She donates millions to Armenia annually, and I would say shes a great singer (although cattering to homosexuals).

What is a bottle blonde? My cousins roots are the same color as his hair. His eyebrows are a bit darker, as is everyone elses in my family.

    Thanks for the explanation.
A bottle blonde is a person who dyes his/her hair blonde. Not a natural blond.

I thought so, but I just had to ask.

How much mongoloid blood would you'd need to have to be considered a Hapa? I'm Russian and 1/16 Chinese... what does that make me? Not Bulgarian, I'm actually not quite as dark as I look in the all - contrasty - avatar.

Puberty = begining of mental illness and depression. Well, for me anyway. Puberty is the crappiest part of life.

Hmmm...this pubert theory might actualy explain my situation. When I was a baby and first started growing hair, my hair was blonde and then started changing to strawberry blonde and remained like that for quite some time. I dyed my hair black when I was 14-15 years old and had it dyed for 2 years (I guess we all go through our idiot years) then when it grew out my hair was the colour it is now, auburn.

I'll agree with that statement... the mental illness part especially. 'Talking about myself here, btw.

The word "iants" is like "ov", for royalty, it can also be in last names, perhaps of a royal family of a region, like from Malatia, it can be Malatianci, in Armenian, the names of people from other countries commonly ends in, "ianci"/"iantsi"....meaning of the royal region, or of origination in reference to a country or region/people...for American, Amerikanci.....for German, Alemanci, for Laz, Lazeci...etc

Der/Ter indicates liturgical origins. In Armenian, Ter-Ter, or Der-Der, means Popa (Hayr in traditional Armenian)...or Father...if the son is a son of a priest named Panosian, his son is Ter-Panosian/Der-Panosian. DerDer is western Armenian, and Ter-Ter east....Ovanesyan is an Eastern Armenian name, mainly because it ends in YAN not IAN and begins with TER, the real name is Hovhanessian (Hovhaness = Shepherd, Hov=Sheep), but they don't know how to spell....so...
