    What Is Skandonordid Exactly?

I have heard this before, is that just another word for nordid or is it reffering to the unaltered types (Hallstatt Nordid, Keltic Nordic, East Nordid)?

    -Thanks

    Re: Skandonordid

I think Skando Nordic is just Halstatt Nordic.

    Re: Skandonordid

Halstatt Nordic is more specific, Halstatt is essentially the unaltered Nordic.
Skando-Nordic is a more generalised term for the Nordics found in Scandinavia. So if you are classified as Skando-Nordid(Like myself), you may show some slight deviations(Cro-Magnid) from the Halstatt, but they must be minor to classify as Skando-Nordid, The predominant element of the SN is Halstatt. I myself, can't tell the difference between the H and SN.

Can someone answer me, are troenders included into Skando-Nordid?

Lundman included the Trönder type within the Scando-Nordid concept, as well as the Göta type.

I know that the Göta type is synonym of SN, also that Østerdal type, assign by Halfdan Bryn, as well other names.
I don't think that the Trönder too. I think that the Trönder is part of a classification more generalised, as Thruthheim said, It's a term used for the Nordics found in Scandinavia, is valid too.

    Re: Skandonordid

Agrippa classified me as Skando-Nordid (German/Swede) so I'm gonna go with that.

I´m bumping this thread, I was thinking of starting a thread with the exact question but luckily I found this.

So the Scando-Nordid is more of an umbrella term and Göta typ is basically the same as Hallstatt Nordid?

How do you differ a Scando-Nordid from let´s say Göta typ and Faelid? Is it like someone stated a Göta typ showing some small CM traits?

Wouldn´t it be more like Trönder then?

Skandonordid, Teutonordid, Osterdal-type, Reihengraeber-type, Hallstatt Nordic, Göta-type, Nordic in the narrower sense or classic Nordic etc. are all just different terms for basically the same racial type and the differences, if present at all, come mostly from the authors definition in detail.

The most common distinction in the Nordeuropid spectrum is that of the leptodolichomorphic Skandonordid and the eurydolichomorphic Dalofaelid (other terms Cromagnid, Dalonordic, Faelish, Bruenn, broad[faced] form of Nordic etc.).

So when someone get´s classified as Scando-Nordid one can say it´s a basic Nordid?
