Nobody really likes using old bones to describe a "type" Boule did this with the "old man" Neandethal and got into a lot of trouble. Since then, everybody wants to use young but mature individuals.
This brings us to the real issue, however. Typing, as it is done here at Skadi, is insane. You can't fully describe anyone from a snapshot of their face. One might be described as white or black (sub-species) but racial ("sub-racial types") becomes harder and harder even without proper information. A side picture and a frontal view plus some information such as height, weight, age, facial length, head height, head lenght, would be nice.
