    Post Feudal heraldry of Europe

Post the traditional feudal symbols of your lands and provinces.

I shall start with my country.

    Croatia
Origins are lost in the depths of time.

    Regions:

    Dalmatia
Origin is not precisely known, though the sources are pointing at king Ludwig Anjou (1342.-1382).
    Three leopard/lion(?) heads

    Slavonia
A marten between the rivers Drava and Sava. (12th century, issued by King Emerich)

    Slavonia (Older, unknown origins)

    Istria
Origins are pointing at pre-heraldic symbols of this land.

I shall also post insignia of our historical lands.

    Hercegovina

(Used by Grand Duke Grvoje Vuksic Hrvatinic- 15.century)
Once Hercegovina also had shield with hand holding a broken lance.

    Bosnia

    (issued by Habsburgs)

    Bosnia

issued by Croat royal familly Kotromanich, kings of medieval Bosnia.
    Today used by Muslims

Part of my family is from the Bavaria & Franconia regions. This our family crest. Cool, eh?

Edit - This is the Norwegian version of the original German crest. The wholly German lines have the same crest with some small variation. -Sig

Part of my family was in the ranks of Austrian gentry, and here is their coat of arms. However they was not Austrian but old Croatian nobility from Lika&Krbava (province):

The coat of arms I am going to attach was given by the Habsburgs in XVIII. century, but the motive of the crowned swan on the red background was their original coat of arms of old clannish folk gentry. I can trace my ancestors of my paternal grandmothers side back to XII. century.

I scanned this immage from "Der Adel von Kroatien und Slavonien bearbeited von Dr. Ivan v. Bojnichich."
    Bauer&Raspe 1899. Nurnberg.

The first flag shows the Loyalist Nothern Ireland flag.
Note the colour of the background is white to resemble the English flag, the Red Hand is enclosed in a Star of David, and the British Crown sits atop it all.
It seems they think this is appropriate as the Irish are in fact a Lost Tribe of Israel, and the evil Vatican just lied to the Irish because they wanted them to be Catholic Gentiles. Sure......

The second is the coat of arms of my family, who were Lords of Fir Li, Fir na Craibe and the Ciannachta. They were a branch of the Ui Neill Dynasty which dominated Ulster and at times the whole of Ireland (members of the family were High Kings)

The third flag is the Flag of Ulster (not to be confused with the Loyalist flag which is a mockery.) The Red Hand is a traditional symbol of the Ui Neill and belonged to Niall of the Nine Hostages, famous High King of Ireland, founder of the Ui Neill dynasty and my own favourite ancestor

    Here are three attachments.

The first shows the family crest of my father's family (Polish-Lithuanian Gentry).

The second is that of Kranj, in Slovenia, from where my father's mother came.

The third is that of the city of Hereford, England, from whence my mother's family immigrated to America in 1640.

Ah... I just noticed your first post asks for such.

    Thanks for the correction.

It was still part of Austria when she came to the states as a young girl...

Some notes on my family crest:

The story goes thusly. The coat of arms originated in the Lithuanian province of Witebsk. After an encounter with the Lithuanians an enemy force retreated in panic, throwing their equipment into the river. My illustrious ancestor used a grappling hook to retrieve spoils of war and the bodies from the river. He received a promotion for his deeds and was given a coat of arms with the grappling hooks as an insignia.
