I'd definitely have to say Celtic, as their blood and customs have intermingled so much with those of Germanics - so much so that scholars oftentimes have difficulty deciding the respective tribe of specific groups.

True. If that was the case I would've chosen the Hellens, then again, aren't the Hellens and Romance tribes related?

They have a common nonIE local Mediterranean substrate, but apart from that, not much. Latin is closer to Gaelic than it is to Greek, linguistically speaking.

I can't answer to this poll for two reasons:

First, I'm not Germanic, so I don't want to "manipulate" the results.

Second, I can't chose only one, I would have to chose something like Celto-Germano-Romance-Hellenic. Each of this tribes has contributed enormously to what is now Europe.

The Celts expanded through all Europe in the Bronze Age, from Spain and Eire in the West to Poland and Turkey in the East, carrying their metallurgy secrets with them, their language, and their Natural-Paganism that greatly influenced in the Germanic Pantheism.

The Hellenics are the "parents" of Western Civilization, and the first builders of unified Empires such as Alexander one. They were true revolutionaries.

The Romans were the first ones to attempt to unify the European peoples, they expanded the Hellenic culture and continued it with important contributions. Military genious, they took and imposed their language in great part of Europe.

The Germanics were the executors of a corrupted (anti-)Roman system, which had forgotten all of its values. They were the beginning of the modern states, introduced feudalism, and started the Crusades.

I voted for Hellenic for obvious reasons, but should have this been multiple choice I would have also voted for Celtic, Baltic & Finno-Ugric

Re: What is your favorite European tribe beside Germanic?

Why has Celtic the leading votes?

the Romance Peoples accomplished much more than they ever did.

What did the Celtic tribes ever accomplished?
