Re: What are your political and ideological influences?

nifluences ? Well, my reading of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" 40 years ago reinforced my long-established bent toward monarchy. In my concept of the ideal monarchy, however, the parliament fills the role of the Roman Senate under the Roman Empire. I.e. the monarch has real power and is not a mere figurehead. The ideal relationship of the vassal to the monarch is that of Beowulf: the king is the source of reward and honour for valor. In true feudalism, it is the OATHS exchanged, not the fiefs given which bind the vassal to his lord.

    Ukrainophilism
    National Anarchism(to a limited extent)
European New Right(to a limited extent)
    Paleo-Conservatism
    Revolutionary Conservatism
    Communitarianism
    American Anti-Federalism
    Falangism

    And so on.

Some thinkers who have influened me:

    Hilaire Belloc
    GK Chesterton
    Charles Peguy
    Leon Bloy
    Emmanuel Mounier
    Pierre-Joseph Proudhon
    Mykhailo Hrushevsky
    Mykhailo Drahamonov

Re: What are your political and ideological influences?

I'm not a terribly philosophical person and I admit that I need to do a lot more reading in that direction but the following are various things that have influenced my Weltanschauung:
The heroic culture of Beowulf, The Poetic Edda, and Homeric Greece
The culture and holistic approach to education etc in the of the age of Perikles and Ancient Greece in general, including the Spartans
    Ancient Rome
    Nietzsche
    Nordicism
    Romanticism/Gothicism
    Romantic Nationalism
    Pangerman(ic)sm
my limited knowledge of National Socialism
    Little England concept
    Voelkish/Folkish/back to the land movement

Sv: What are your political and ideological influences?

I read a lot but my influences consist more of literary authors than explicitly political writers. As many others I was a leftist in my teens, first a socialist and then an anarchist. Of course, as soon as you learn just a little about the real world and human nature (some people never do), these positions become absurd. And the more you read, the more you come to realise that the best authors are always nationalist and conservative at heart –- in the modern age radically conservative, as the world looks like it does. Some unsorted names: Dostojevsky, T.S. Eliot, Ezra Pound, Baudelaire, William Gibbon, Thomas Mann (Betrachtungen eines Unpolitischen), Ernst Jünger, J. R. R. Tolkien (his ideas of “mythic truth” has made an impression on me), Evelyn Waugh, G. K. Chesterton, Homer, Pindar, Oswald Spengler, Jane Austen, Georg Henrik von Wright (Finnish philosopher), Vilhelm Ekelund (Swedish essayist), Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Wittgenstein, Marcel Proust, Paul Valery.

Some of the last ones probably seem very odd in this context, but they are all, in their way, right-wing philosophers, whether they themselves would agree or not.

I have read much about Evola, Benoist, Dumezil, Niekisch, Carl Schmitt and similar thinkers, but unfortunately very little of them.

Re: Sv: What are your political and ideological influences?

I was firstly influenced by Philosophy, particularly that of Nietzsche and Heidegger, but also of Kierkergaard and some of the greek schools of Philosophy.

Then I was influenced by biological psychology, pavlovian & skinnerian behaviorism, ethology and molecular biology.

When I started reading ideological texts back in my highschool years, I introduced myself to Evola, DeBenoist (I remember that "Religion of Europe" that Prince Eugen mentions was among my first readings of that sort), Savitri Devi, Osvald Spengler, Walter Darré, and many others, and of course..the Man himself

I also find Eurasian and National Anarchist theories to be extremely interesting. I think they are still quite imperfect, but they have the potential to become the ideologies of the future.

I had read some traditional communism and anarchism in my distant youth, mainly for educational purposes. I found myself agreeing in bits and pieces but I was not persuaded by neither on a wider spectrum.

I was also influenced by thinkers such as Baudrillard, David Harvey ("The Condition of Post-Modernity"), fantasy writers such as Tolkien (long before he became fashionable) and Moorcock, and the bone-smashing humor of the Monty Pythons and Douglas Adams

All in all, I consider the milestones of my development to have been Nietzsche's "Thus Spake Zarathustra" and the "Life of Brian" movie by Monty Pythons

Add music and cinema to those, as well as other things that I am too tired to number....and you get one hell of an political/ideological mess like myself

AW: Sv: What are your political and ideological influences?

The martyrium of Rudolf Heß was a big influence for me in the beginning of my political career. In the following years their were many authors and other persons, sometimes even musicians who formed my political and personal character. The most of them are dead and some are still alive.

H., Heß, Günther, Tolkin, Zündel, Lorenz, Matthews, Rosenberg, Riefenstahl, Orwell, Pierce, Deckert, Rowan, Rennicke, Wessel, Zöberlein, Donaldson, Müller, Worch, der Doktor, Lane are some of this persons who give me inspiration in the former years.

Re: What are your political and ideological influences?

I have read books and information in regard to this subject. Some y'all have mentioned.

Yet, my main influence comes from the writings (and records of the lifes) of patriots and statesmen such as these: Richard Henry Lee, George Mason, Patrick Henry, John C. Calhoun, Jefferson Davis, Alexander Stephens, and so forth.

"Robert E. Lee was the son of a general in the Revolution. Two of his uncles signed the Declaration of Independence, one of whom was also a member of the convention that drafted the Constitution. Lee was married to the granddaughter of George Washington’s adopted son. Lee was only one of many civil and military leaders of the Confederacy who were sons of soldiers in the Revolution. It is an astounding phenomenon of mass delusion (or mass ignorance) that most Americans believe that the corporate lawyer and ambitious politician [and atheist and bastard] Abraham Lincoln understood the true principles of the American Founding better than they did." ~ Clyde Wilson
