    Question Russian Red Army Choir

Marches and music before new age music came along was beautiful and strong... now it just isn't (ok ok some), but it varies, and each culture has their own music; not only culture every other child and or adult. But one could personally notice no matter who they were the strengh in the Russian Red Army Choir as they sung. The beat was nice as well... anyone else like their music ?

'German boy, do not forget you are a German,' and, 'Little girl, remember you are to become a German mother.'

I prefer older Russian vocal melodies sung done as solos and duets - they are some of the most beautiful, soulful music I have heard from anywhere in the world :-) They run the gamut from the blackest dispair to the happiest, craziest dancing music. I like other folk music too, but I think the Slavs have some of the all-time best :-) That old time muzhiki music is pretty hard to beat.

Have any recommendations on those songs ? I don't think that I have heard any of those songs yet. Though I have heard some solos. Solos are nice but usually I perfer a few more people singing the song, but again if you have any tell me about them

'German boy, do not forget you are a German,' and, 'Little girl, remember you are to become a German mother.'

I have 20-40 songs of the Russian Red Army Choir. I prefer 'Meadowland' or 'Oh, my field, my field', 'Kossack's Song', 'The Sacred War', 'Farewell of Slavianka', and 'O Fortuna'.

Of Course, some of these songs may be mistitled.

I also like the Russian Naval Hymn and traditional Russian Folk.

I have downloaded and liked the russian naval hymn, the sacred war, and meadowland. I am sure the others are good as well

'German boy, do not forget you are a German,' and, 'Little girl, remember you are to become a German mother.'

I postively love all those songs. Another one you people should download is "Katusha", especially if you love solos. And "Kalinka" is a must for any collection of Russian folk songs, every Russian knows "Kalinka"!

You can get some of the songs here, if you can get past the fact that most of the songs here are Communist in intent. http://sovmusic.km.ru/english/rodina.htm

Its correct name is Ey Ukhnem.

I also like their Ukrainian Folk Song.
