I thought that the original TCM was horrific. Excellent film and IMO the new one looks cheesy. Kind of soon to be nostalgic about TCM, eh Hollywood???

Would it be a true horror movie without the cheese? LOL

I thought it was pretty good. Not very scary though. I like TCM "the new breed" the best hehe.

Even more amazing was "House of 1000 Corpses" -totally tasteless, ridiculous, but REALLY damn cool. It's all about "Otis"

He's played by Bill Moseley AKA Choptop and he has a meaness that makes every masochist melt Anyway, the point is: rent this movie because Moseley is amazing!
I envision a world where people dawning long white robes and elaborate headdresses run rampant down the streets, waving their arms in the air while screaming "we've gone mad, we've gone mad", like defrocked monks breaking the silence of ages past.

Spoonblade: Sharper than a knife and twice as deadly.

I thought the original was kind of cheesy, the only part that made me take notice was the sudden appearance of leatherface when he bashed them in the head with the sledgehammer and they fell to the ground quivering. Now that rocked. Kind of like the part where Hannibal is cooking that guy's brain and feeding it to him... that was the most astonishing thing I've ever seen in a movie, I was freaking out.

The new one sounds interesting. The guy who directed it is German, and he said he was going for a more realistic approach instead of the silly gory stuff. I also want to see Jessica Biel shake her moneymaker.

Yeah, that movie was silly. The only thing, I repeat, the ONLY thing that made that movie worth a damn was the bottomheavy blonde. She is so fine! Sweet and spicy that one, I love her personality.

You should start dressing like Rob Zombie, apparently that's what it takes for a guy to get chicks like that LOL

I liked her in 1000 Corpses, but sometimes her laughing really got to me

Pet Cemetery also scared the **** out of me. Lame, but true. The woman in the attic with the twisted spine haunted my dreams for years.

I don't know, long hair is a lot of trouble to take care of. May be worth it if I can get some of that action.

Yeah! I really liked that one. It was intense, and things just kept getting darker. Effects were well done and the acting was good. I think that little boy made that movie. "I wanna play with you!" *sinister baby laugh*

Probably the best translation of a King book. Most of them start off with a strong theme but quickly fade and get boring.

I thought The Shining was a great movie...

I'm always terrified by deformed and insane people. My worst nightmare is to be chased by sociopathic midgets with frontal lobe damage, and zombies. Zombies really freak me out. The remake of Night of the Living Dead was horrifying... "they're coming to get you, Barbara..." :eek

And Candyman! Didn't anyone here see Candyman?? I watched it many years go with the little sister of my boyfriend (boyfriend at that time -no longer). If I remember correctly, the psychokiller in that movie is a Negro! Now that is really freakin' scary! I was about 19 at the time, his sister was about 16, and we were both so scared after watching it that we made everyone in the house (= me, my boyfriend, his three sisters, his brother, his brother-in-law, his parents, and the two dogs -Baby and Isabeau) sleep in the den together... with the lights on. I swore that I'd never watch that movie again and I never have!
