Well it's certainly not as good as milk and honey! I first tried it because it was what they gave Jesus when he was thirsty on the cross, and I wanted to see what it was like. It's really not that bad. It's better than a parched throat, at least. And some flavors of vinegar are really quite enjoyable. I wouldn't recommend a 44-ouncer of it or anything, nor would I try to have a glass a day. But every once in a while, it can be nice.

I kind of figure that it's just old wine, and wine is just old fruit juice (I often have apple vinegar when I have it — it's nice and mild), so it's okay.

    Re: Tea anyone??

When I've finished a jar of pickled onions, pickled herring, salted guerkins or whatever I always guzzle down the vinegar. Gotta maintain my sour disposition...

About the Horny God's [that name will stick hopefully - Bridie is a skilled abbreviator, IYKWIM, LOL, LMTO ] caffeine and the heart - my Mum used to drink coffee a lot, until we bought a PC and tried out the microphone. I discovered it was a good stethoscope and so we all recorded our heartbeats. Mum's was terribly irregular - and so we went right off the coffee. Tea all the way, now. Never looked back.

Leofric! Did you make your own 'Gator - ade'??? Hunt the ingredients down yourself, too?

It's a sports drink named after the mascot of the University of Flordia sports team that first used it.

My Gods, one of the varieties is purple. I'd sooner catch and squeeze el Legato.

Like I always used to say to my students; "Don't eat or drink anything that you can't figure out what it's made from!" That's Coke, chewing gum and Gatorade out then! I make an honorable exception for the Guinness, due to it's venerable age and role in history...

Yes I usually drink coffee before going to work. Tea I'll drink at night sometimes. My favorite kind of tea is usually green tea.
