Thumbs Up Chinese Soldiers (People's Liberation Army), Nordsinid

Below are some photos of infantry troops in the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), mainland China's national military.

The people in the photos are all ethnic Han Chinese, and speak Sinitic languages. Most fit in the classification of Nordsinid, although some appear to have Europid and Suedsinid looks too.

The one on the left has more Tungid features and the one on the right carrying the tire is more Nordsinid.

    More..

One of the greatest traits of Nordsinid is the high bridge nose, and rather pointy. Seudsinids and Tungids have lower bridges.

    Same guy.

In the images above the ones in the berets and the very first photo are Special Operation Forces (SOF). Their ensign is a sword and a lightening bolt shaped like a Z (since the Chinese name for China starts with a Z). Their main goal is rapid deployment in localized combat situations (rather than full out ground war); so expect to see them within a few more decades securing Chinese interests in the Spratleys, Middle East, and maybe even South America.

Currently there are about 50,000 of them in the Chinese military, but rapidly expanding. Probably will get around to 200,000 some day as the Chinese modernize their military this decade. They are usually selected from the most physically fit and talented ground soldiers in the PLA infantry. Tough sobs.

In a few decades there will be no more oil in the Middle East so I don't think there would be any interest in that region..

More photos of regular non-elite troops

Northern Xinjiang guard (northwest China), notice the characteristic epicanthal fold (adaptation for extreme cold).
