The best moment/time would be hanging out with my friends as a young boy, aged 10-13. My friends are currently all gone home, each person has their own life, so in that sense one must be independent of others.

Worst time would be, getting pushed by a friend into the water when I was fishing(I was standing on the end of a log, him behind me, before he had always talked to me about how he wanted to know how it felt like to kill someone), I was scared because I thought he was trying to drown me(I had told him I didn't like the water, it was a hot hazy summer and the water was murky and deep), but I guess he refrained because I was about his size, and if he tried we were both going to die.

Naturally you don't have to answer if it brings up things you'd rather forget...

Well, it is hard to explain, especially as it is a somehow shrouded memory. All in know is that although I probably was unconscious from when I hit the windshield I realized that I was dead when my heart stopped beating. It wasn't frightening in any way. I felt no pain and no longing to stay alive. Nevertheless I think that the process of dying is quite different on your deathbed when you can feel death approaching. If you get hit by a car or jump off a building I do not think that there is a light at the end of the tunnel or that a film of your life runs through your brain at fast forward.
And all my youth passed by sad-hearted,
    the joy of Spring was never mine;
Autumn blows through me dread of parting,
and my heart dreams and longs to die.

    - Nikolaus Lenau (1802-1850)

Real misanthropes are not found in solitude, but in the world; since it is experience of life, and not philosophy, which produces real hatred of mankind.

    - Giacomo Leopardi (1798-1837)

    Best moment: everything happened before.

Best: Being home alone, making myself a pizza and watching a movie - Then for a walk at night (Kozy<3)
Worst: A cousins funeral (Or rather, after the funeral. Post-Funeral)

I don't know. My life has tended to be good.

Best: I think the day my sister moved in with us.

Worst: Probably the day after my sister moved in. Night after, rather.

I was on the phone with my ex (I don't think he was my ex at the time) and that was pretty emotionally tense. He was talking about how he thought he was going to wind up in prison because his son's mother was doing some pretty horrific things with the child support issue. He was feeling really down and I thought he was going to do something stupid. He was drunk, about ready to quit his job, he just found out the people he was staying with were meth addicts, and I'm pretty sure that's the night he told me he was going to just get his guns and do his best to start a race war. It was upsetting me and I was crying (just tears, really, but lots of them).

Then I heard this strange sound coming from the other room. It took me a moment to realize that my sister was totally bawling. She had found out that her boyfriend of about a year had cheated on her with her other best friend (of like 8 or 9 years), three times, while she was living in a shelter for teens a few cities over. She dumped him, and then he started cutting himself on webcam infront of another one of her friends. He started walking to our house from a few cities over. She was playing phone tag with two of her friends, his parents, him, the cops and three of her relatives until 4AM. Advising two sad confused people at the same time is difficult. Especially when one is yelling at you to tell the other one to shut up, even though if the same thing happened to him, he'd probably go on a killing spree.

Once the cops found the jerk and had him in the ER, we all decided it was about time to go to bed. What made this the worst moment of my life, though, I think was that I started to regret having asked my mother to let her stay with us. I was being selfish and was upset by the drama. I still feel horrible that I ever thought that for even a moment.
Polygamy: it might not be for you, but what right do you have to keep it from me?

If I were you I wouldn't cut yourself up too much about that. From time to time we all find ourselves entertaining thoughts we later regret.

The important thing is that we manage to refrain from taking any immediate destructive actions based on spur-of-the-moment impulses; The ability to pause between impulse and reaction or to refrain from action altogether while in the grip of violent emotion is one of the main ways in which some humans differ from animals.

It must be said, as well, that it is a characteristic found more often among the more successful members and classes of society than among the less successful.
