    Re: Worst and Best experiences?

My best and worst experiences are not particularly personal or interesting, but no matter..

My best ever experience happened when as a teenager. I saw my name printed in a magazine as one of the winners of a competiton to design the layout for a level of the sequel to my favourite computer game at the time, "Cannon Fodder".
I literally jumped and shouted for joy!
In the great scheme of things it was not a particularly important moment in my life, I didn't get any money or even much recognition and If it happened now I would hardly bat an eyelid. But at the time it was huge for me I don't think I have ever had such a peak experience since. Not getting into college or graduating or anything else I have achieved has ever quite matched up to that moment.

My worst experience happened when was when I was about 9. I had an alergic reaction, it seems, to a medication I was given for a minor alment, it caused a musle-spasm in my neck and I nearly sufficated. It was late at night and I was just getting into bed, it is a good job it didn't happen after I went to sleep... suddenly my neck seemed to grow weak and I found I could no longer support my head and then suddenly my neck clamped in a spasm:- and I could hardly breath!
I had to be rushed hospital chocking and panicing. I was only 9 and I thought I was a gonner for sure, my brother and sisters were woken by the commotion and they later told me that they had thought the same..

When my parents got me to the hospital however the doctors didn't seem a bit conserned, appearently I was getting just enough air to survive without intervention and it was my panicing which had caused most of my distress, according to them at least, but anyway, they gave me an injection to counter the effects of the medication and in a two minutes I was fine.
They made me stay in hospital for two days for observtion and sent me home, but for a year or two after I would get panic attacks, no nightmares, just a kind of daytime flashbacks to what had happened that night, at one point I thought I would never be free of them, but thankfully in time they faded away..

    Re: Worst and Best experiences?

"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster, and if you stare long into an abyss, the abyss also stares into you." - Friedrich Nietzsche.

My worst experience is an event of 'self discovery' that occured last Sunday morning at five AM. Losing yourself in chaos is like drowning while trying to clutch at straws beyond your reach. Not only is it pure chaos, but the panic that accompanies it aggravates the entire situation. For those not in the know, I have schizophrenia. It rarely is a serious problem for me.

My best experience? Being with Jenni, a girl I loved about two years ago now. Words to not begin to encompass how brilliant, complete, excellent, perfect that was.
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream at night, in the dusky recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams, with open eyes, to make it possible.

    AW: Worst and Best experiences?

My best and worst experiences both happened this year.

My best experience was to finally found a girl which has the same interests as me and also shows alot of caress.

My worst experience was loosing 2 friends due to death within 5 months.

    Gruß,

    Best/worst moments of your life

My best was when I got married, my worst, I really don't know. Probably when we were kids and my sis was almost hit by a car cause we were playing chase, boy was I scared.

    Best moment: when I died.
Worst moment: when I got reanimated a few minutes later.
And all my youth passed by sad-hearted,
    the joy of Spring was never mine;
Autumn blows through me dread of parting,
and my heart dreams and longs to die.

    - Nikolaus Lenau (1802-1850)

Real misanthropes are not found in solitude, but in the world; since it is experience of life, and not philosophy, which produces real hatred of mankind.

    - Giacomo Leopardi (1798-1837)

I'll only say the best moment hasn't happened yet.
