    Mortiis - Marshland

I have been here for too long.
    In this lonesome twisted land.
    Marshland...

    It is deep and sickening.
I have to find my way back home.
    Marshland...

The only way to find myself.
    Is to descend deeper still.
    Marshland...

    I'm stuck and cold.
I'm stuck and cold in marshland.
I'm stuck and cold where life is
    Plentiful but nothing lives
    .

A voice I know speaks to me.
    Of self-deceit and mockery.

I search for life and sights to see.
    Somewhere beyond this cold
Machinery. (So take me out of this insanity).

Nothing that I say or do, Matters to the
Big machine. Nothing that I think or
Feel, matters to the big machine. If I am
    Dead when tomorrow's gone,
The big machine will just move on.

The scar you gave me left my soul,
Hollow like the love you showed.

That empty shell you offered me,
Took me further away from the
    Machine.

    (quite deep, in fact...)

I am impressed. I did not know any one here listened to them. Are you straight-edge? I have been to one of their shows, when they came to Europe a few years ago. It was brutal. Lyrically, they tear my heart out. Have you heard their latest? Some say it is not as good as Haymaker, but it is. It is just a different style and he sounds more like Phil; I am not sure if this was intentional or not. Have you heard of Up Front?

Yea I don't drink alcohol or smoke drugs. I've seen how this has effected my family and friends in my life, especially in my father. Plus it's very bad for your health.

I don't think I've heard of up front, I will try and look them up.

Same here. And what of caffeine, tattoos, artifical sweetners, medicine, hospital care et cetera? Militant purity. You like Buechner from EC and now Freya? He is a powerhouse.

N.W.O. is brutal. What tracks hit you? The breakdown at the end of track Vendetta makes me want to jump out a window. It is brutal.

    Do you own Haymaker?

The album Spirit is the one at which I hint specifically. The energy is beyond TD, but vocally it is different: thrash and sloppy, but wild. Very straight-edge. They are from the Unites States.

I usually go for weeks without caffeine at a time but sooner or later I always have a soda everyonce in awhile. Tattoos would be kept to a minimal, it should mean something to you and not something you go get it out of a book. Artifical sweetners I try to avoid. I think it's funny how alot of people pop a few pills if they have a headache or sore but all they need to do is keep hydrated with water. For hospital care et cetera I try to avoid that also.
