    Hypocrisy - Eraser

Here it comes to subject the terror you forgot
    No memories from the past
    The unexplainable starts to appear
As your sub-consciousness begins to come back again

    Reality fades away
You try to find a solution
    Here it's coming now, indecision
You're free but you can't see through the confusion

    There is no time
    No time to regret
The eraser's coming for your life
    You got to run
    Stay away from the light
The eraser's here to twist your mind

Feel your soul connected to the universe
    The solstice is complete
    They controlled your thoughts
You will remember now, what it's all about

    Twist the end around, violation
It's burning deep and twisting under your skin
    It scares you forever
The proof you will find in your dreams

Good ol' Hypocrisy, I think I'm in love *sigh*

Hypocrisy - Slave To The Parasites

A pain worse than anything else
or maybe I'm dead, both trapped in a cage
Alone in my body now a shell deserted or is this the end of my age
    Crushed into the bitter end
Is the thing's I cannot avoid
Drowning in a circle of hell
They won't let me exist on my own

    [Chorus]
    Slave to the parasites
    I can't get away
    They won't leave me be
    Slave to the parasites
    Here they come again
    There is nowhere to hide

    Seeing my life crushed
    I'm all alone
    digging into my life
    deadly thoughts

    The night is fallen
I know they are comming around the bend
They use me as an experiment
    which I don't understand

    Crashed into the bitter end
Is the thing's I cannot avoid
drowning in a circle of hell..
They won't let me exist on my own

    [Chorus]

They won't get me this time
I can hear them coming closer
    I'm not afraid to die
But I'd rather die than someone control my mind

    [Chorus]

:music: Perhaps something political behind this lyric? :grimreape

"Celtic Dreams" [featuring] Joemy Wilson: Music of Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738) on the Hammered Dulcimer, Vol. III. Joemy Wilson, hammered dulcimer, with the Carolan Consort : Anisa Angarola, guitar; Valarie King, flute, alto flute, and piccolo; Miamon Miller, violin, and Sylvia Woods, Celtic harp

Turlough O'Carolan (Toirdhealbhach O' Cearbhallain) , itinerant harper and poet, was the most famous Irish bard of his time. Blinded by smallpox in his late teens, he was, as was the custom of the time, trained as a harper and, after 3 years of training, set forth with a horse, a harp, and a guide, to fame, if not fortune, as a travelling musician.

As such he often enjoyed the hospitality of the wealthy and powerful some of whom commissioned pieces from him such as laments and celebratory pieces which he called "planxties".

O'Carolan's music is very Celtic and is splendidly interpreted here. The plangent wiry sound of the hammered dulcimer seems peculiarly well-suited to this music, especially when combined with that of the Celtic harp. Some pieces are mournful and others merry. All are tuneful.

Re: What are you listening to at the moment?

I'm listening to early house music (Frankie Knuckles, 808 State etc) because it gees me up. Today my mood was down, Thursday it was up, Wednesday it was down. I don't always have the luxury of listening to depressing music. I use music to alter my emotional state, even if at a subjective level I can acknowledge that most of the music I listen to is, indeed, shite.

    Opeth - Isolation years.

The most perfect song which was ever written by a mortal.
