Thank it looks amazing.
Thank it looks amazing.
Mine would be something like this: An overgrown farm in the middle of Iceland, near cliffs/hills; or just in free nature.![]()
Alternatively, a normal farm would do:
Somewhere in the highlands of Scotland would do however:
Or of course Austria's beautiful mountains!![]()
Many places to cater for me. It should be obvious by the pictures that there need to be four requirements:
1)nature
2)mountains/hills.
3)in the middle of nowhere
4) farm
Well.
Sadly life will probably not allow any of these.![]()
-In kalte Schatten versunken...
(Heimdalls Wacht, In kalte Schatten versunken, stanzas 4-6)
wow, that castle and the scenery is absolutely stunning isnt it. i hope ud hav rooms for rent if u lived there! if not id live somewhere like this, a little house in the middle....
basically anywhere that u could look out your window and see natural beauty. mountains, lake, forest, etc. the house probably wouldnt matter, its the scenery id be after...

A nice, cozy 3 or 4 bedroom log cabin on a pristine lake in Colorado would be stellar!
I believe that religion, generally speaking, has been a curse to mankind - that its modest and greatly overestimated services on the ethical side have been more than overcome by the damage it has done to clear and honest thinking.
...that no discovery of fact, however trivial, can be wholly useless to the race, and that no trumpeting of falsehood, however virtuous in intent, can be anything but vicious.
...that all government is evil, in that all government must necessarily make war upon liberty...
...that the evidence for immortality is no better than the evidence of witches, and deserves no more respect.

...in the capacity of man to conquer his world, and to find out what it is made of, and how it is run.
...in the reality of progress.
I - But the whole thing, after all, may be put very simply. I believe that it is better to tell the truth than to lie...to be free than to be a slave...to know than be ignorant.
I have been working on this for a short time, but here is what I am working on for my dream home(not the final pic by a long shot!). Hopefully, it will come true in the next 3 years when my hubby is finished w/his residency and we find where we want to be...
We don't know where we want to live exactly, but West Virginia and Virginia are top right now and North Tennessee. And it HAS to be in the woods with A LOT of land![]()

A house in the country flanked by a traditional lush and dense cottage garden plenished by herbs, wildflower meadows and hedgerow plants and a couple of hazel trees to provide shadow and cool air during warm Summerdays.
A pond would be a nice addition too...
I have no specific further wishes, except maybe that some public transport to the nearest towns should be available, because I can't drive and honest, a car does eat a lot of money, which could be spend for better purposes...
That kind of little heaven created on earth may be found wheresoever, here in Flanders or in another country...somewhere out there in time, or made futile as wishful dreams blazed and crashed by tempest-beaten reality...
The house of my dreams could be in wood like this one :
That is the "colonial" style common in french-canada (from the mid 1800's to the mid 1900's), here in Gaspésie.
Or, even better, a house in stone or wood from the french regime (until the end of the 1700's) :
(near Québec)
(near Montreal)
(near Québec)
(again near Québec)
Of course in a rural region, with some land/fields around itThis dream should come true in 2007!
Thank you very much, BW...You are warmly welcome, another cool residence is this, I have in sight to see.......:Originally Posted by Blutwölfin
