    AW: Johanna Spyri

"Heidi" is really a nice story, that I read when I was about 10 years old and I've also seen several film versions. With "Heidi" you imagine Switzerland as a romantic and ideal country.
According to several sources Johanna Spyri's "Heidi" is beside the Koran and the Bible the most translated book in the world!
I personnally think that this is quite an ideal story for children, because her works show the situation of the people in Switzerland during the industrialization from a critical point of view.
Especially the destiny of young women and children were important for her.
