look at this tamil of the Iyer (priest) caste. He's a pure Tamil:

Don't you know green/blue eyed Aishwarya Rai is a pure light skinned Tamil? (warrior caste)

So not all Tamils are dark skinned and broad nosed. Ofcourse the upper castes of tamil society aren't purely Dravidian.
Iyer Brahmins of South India trace their ancestry to the north anyways and sorry but Aishwarya Rai is a Bunt not a Tamil. The Bunts are a community that is supposed to be physically distinguishable from it's dravidian neighbours in South India by their light skin and meditteranean type features.

Madhuri could never pass for an Italian. But I'm not an italian so maybe I'm wrong. Her husband might be able to though.

Well said, nicely observed. The younger one doesn't pass for a pure dravidian. Pigmentation I think should not really be taken into consideration when classifying. It could help give hints but overall the head shape etc. would be the decisive factor.
