    What Are Those Spheres?

What are those spheres above the avatar pictures? I see some of them are brown, and some are orange... Can anybody please enlight us on that mystery?

    Or is it esoteric?

The orange and red spheres are indicators of user groups/ranks:

    • 1 orange sphere: user is a Regular
    • 3 orange spheres: user is a Moderator (Herþra)
    • 4 orange spheres: user is an Administrator (Witenagemot)
    • 5 orange spheres: user is a Senior Administrator (Þeudanaz)
    • 1 red sphere: user is a Funding Member (Þengaz)

The brown spheres are indicators of postcount. The more posts a user has, the more filled (shiny) brown spheres he gets. If the brown spheres are empty, it usually means that the user is banned.

Thank you for enlightment on that mystery...

But to my childish mind, with an obsession for symbols, I secretly still prefer to see these as hazelnuts, oranges and apples

    Makes sense to me...

Why can't the brown ones be chocolate?

Re: AW: What are those spheres?

Looking above my avatar, I see I've just grown a Fifth brown nut!!! I see this is because I've just hit 100 posts [and not because of the mutagenic after effects of an unpublicised leak at the Nuclear power station along the coast from me].

Strangely, though, my fourth nut is very dull, as though it needs a polishing... Why is this?

I wanted to ask, too; how can I decrease the amount of information below my avatar? It makes my posts too long, which is inconvenient for others when scrolling up and down the threads.

And how soon before I can have a signature?

Thanks for that everyone [I suppose I'll have to click your thankyou buttons! Is it just me, or do people really use the anonymous Rep Pts button as freely as they seem to with the Thanks? I've always been very sparing with my giving out of reputation, saving it for only the most highliest greatestly profounderest posts...]

I can only speak for myself about giving out rep freely or not....... but I usually give out rep rather freely because I give rep points for two main reasons: 1) if someone gives out good info/ makes a good post or good points, or 2) if I want to make a quick comment to someone about a post they make/their avatar/sig/etc. An example of my second reason, is earlier today when I noticed Oskorei's avatar, I uped his rep and gave him this comment, "Your avatar is my favorite animal. I have pics and a collection of figurines as well as many stuffed animals in my home. Oh, I almost forgot, and a collectors plate and socks for the baby." ( I don't think Oskorei would mind me telling about a rep point I gave him. )

I do think other people are like you and only give out sparingly though. The reason I think this is because there are some people who only give me rep points very, very infrequently and only after I have made what I am guessing to be a wonderful post. Usually if I get a point from one of those (nameless) people, then I know I must have said something good.
