    Ah - King James I of England and the VI of Scotland - "the wisest fool in Christendom".

    Predominantly Nordic. Perhaps Keltic-Nordic? Like you said, it's only a painting, so it is harder to distinguish his physical features than with a photo picture.

    I had the feeling that he was more Tronder or even Anglo-Saxon.

    Of course, Keltic does seem to fit in its own way. Despite the potential for it, I would not say Atlantid.
