    Impressions of Germany

I have been in München 3 days so far and I must say the level of Völkerchaos is less than any american city I have ever been in. The scenery is just amazing. I have some very good pictures of the the Marienplatz, und natürlich habe ich den Feldherrnhalle besucht. Heute Abend werde ich das Ehren Temple und Königplatz besuchen. I have had so much fun using my german, except every young german instantly switches to English when the hear my american accent. I keep talking in German when it happens though because i came here to learn German. Das Bier schmeckt hier sehr gut. Spaten, Franziskaner, Hofbräu, Augustiner usw... Sie sind alle so gut! I've only been here 3 days and have already consumed 10 or more liters of beer. I don't think that I will be able to get drunk anymore by the time I get back home in Febuary. My tolerance is already through the roof.

Gestern besuchte ich Neuschwanstein. Es war wie ein Träum. Es glaube es nicht noch, dass ich da war.

Well I've got to go, i am in some internet cafe in the Laim section of Munich. I will try to keep a running journal on here and post my pictures also.

    Danke.

Nice to hear, and your german is quite good

I think Munich is still one of the best cities in Germany. And I don't just say that becasue I am Bavarian, well I am a Frank to be precise, guess I would get slapped to death if some of my friends would hear me saying I am bavarian

    Servus Heidenlord !

I live in Munich and it's nice to hear you enjoy your stay here. Have you already been to the Hofbräuhaus (still with swastikas on the roof ) and the Augustiner Beer Hall (both are cloth to the Marienplatz) ? Or if you dont like sitting around with hundrets of tourists in the big beer halls you can go to the Andechser at the Dom Church.
And in the night you have to visit the Kunstpark Ost area.

    Viel Spaß noch!

    Servus Heidenlord,

I hope you enjoy your stay in the capital of good old Bavaria! The landscape around munich, especially the Oberland and the Alpes Mountains (Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Mittenwald...), are worth a look, too.

    Ich - I
    Es - it
noch nicht - not yet (in German grammar it's different "yet not")

Stay out of the Feldmoching-Hasenbergl section unless you want to experience why Munich is the German city with the highest immigrant quota.

Isn't Frankfurt continuously said to own this doubtful "honorary title"?

Re: AW: Re: AW: Impressions of Germany

If Munich really got ahead of Frankfurt regardinf the official percentage, that must be a very recent development. Only a few years ago, Frankfurt clearly was leading (statistics for 2000-2003). I'm afraid that the "retrogression" of the percentage in Frankfurt from around 30% to somewhat probably under 25 or 24% now within a few years is only due to mass naturalization of the scum.
