OK Axis and Soviets also had talks... So what. The Soviets violated any agreements they had with their Western neighbors, especially the Baltic state. As far as Lithuania was concerned, that was a breach of agreements with Germany as well. There was not much to doubt about what the designs of the USSR/Stalin were. The question was only, WHEN they would strike. Time was working against the Axis. That's why there was no feasible alternative to Barbarossa.
