Post Your List of Racial Anthropology Books

I am looking to invest in a good racial anthropology book. I was thinking of getting 'The Races Of Europe'. This seems to be one of the more popular texts. Is that true? If so, where could I find it? Thanks.

'The Races of Europe' is one of the best books. But it's hard to find! I doubt it has been reprinted since the 1939 edition?

I've seen it at auctions at http://www.amazon.com. Many librararies have some of Coons books. A friend of mine even bought one from the library over here...!

You can find parts of TROE at http://www.nordish.com.

This books are ''famous'' and well knowed, but also ancient. Most of P. anthropology books were produced before 1945 and are not published nowdays. on snpa we can find some ''pieces''...compilations of ancient books .Do you know another adresses where we can find good P. Anthr. books?

Book recommendations: anthropology, race, eugenics, etc.

I suppose I could have put this in the "currently reading" thread as it is semi-related, but that thread's on another page and this is sort of a tangent to that topic.

I'm looking for book recommendations relating to the fields of anthropology, race, eugenics, and the like. Given that amazon.com doesn't exactly cater to those with rightist political views (the only works on eugenics/dysgenics are out of print and cost upwards of $100 for a copy, there is no useful anthropology to speak of, and it goes without saying that all of their books on race are from the liberal perspective), I have been searching slightly more obscure vendors to find literature of worth.

Thus far, I have come across one vender with a good selection-- the National Alliance ( www.natvan.com ). In their section on "Race: Science and Sociology," I've seen a few titles that seem worth purchasing:

ANTHROPOLOGICAL HISTORY OF EUROPE by Beddoe
    CONSCIENTIOUS EVOLUTION by Matare
ECOLOGY AND EVOLUTION edited by Pearson (editor)
    ESSAYS IN EUGENICS by Galton
    HEREDITY AND HUMANITY by Pearson
RACES OF MAN, THE by Haddon
WANDERINGS OF PEOPLES, THE by Haddon
WAR AND THE BREED by Jordan
    WHY CIVILIZATIONS SELF-DESTRUCT by Pendell

If anyone has read any of these works, I would like to hear your thoughts. Also, if anyone happens to know of other vendors that sell decent works on related subjects and ship within/to the US, don't hesitate to mention them.

Edit: War and the Breed can be found here:

One of the last books that I've read is Eugenics: A Reassessment, by Richard Lynn.

    Here's a fine review:

    http://home.comcast.net/~neoeugenics/lynn.htm

I purchased this particularly excellent book (I loved every page of it) from Amazon.ca

And of course J. Philippe's classic Race, Evolution, and Behavior (3rd edition).

    A review:

    http://www.harbornet.com/folks/theed...shton/Race.htm

It's simply a must for any serious racialist. I also got it from Amazon.ca

However, both books were over $ 100.

If you're looking for fantastic essays and reviews on eugenics, you should take a look at Neoeugenics: http://neoeugenics.home.comcast.net/

    A truly great site.
