    Exclamation Extreme snub nose!

    I never saw a human being with so much space between his mouth and nose.

    Good observation, LG, the height of his face is great, most noteworthy the upper face, and how the lower part portrudes; it's a neanderthaloid trademark, while in the pre-Wuerm types the first account of nasal concavity and snubned noses have been made.
    Prowing, beaky noses are however a paedomorphic trait by the process of neoteny, the former are not justified to be reckoned as the same, although linked with infance, calling it an infantil trait meets resistance, because of its demeaning usage.
    Note also the retreating chin, if not for the narrow face, rather high, steep and smooth(without frontal bumps) forehead and effaced browridges, he approaches a Neanderthaloid condition, for sure.

    I though they had all died out and not mixed with modern humans.

    Nah, the Neanderthal is still there. I see it every day on my way to work.
    And all my youth passed by sad-hearted,
    the joy of Spring was never mine;
    Autumn blows through me dread of parting,
    and my heart dreams and longs to die.

    Real misanthropes are not found in solitude, but in the world; since it is experience of life, and not philosophy, which produces real hatred of mankind.

    He looks like those two puppets, Mossop and Jessop from the children's TV program, The Riddlers.
    I wonder if he talks with a West Country accent as well

    There's a high occurencde of the occipital bun among Europeans, unfound among other contemporary races, also UPs show a bony ridge over a nerve opening in the lower jaw, common too among the Neanderthaler, but unseen in African homo sapiens, our faces have a smaller bizygomatic breadth compared to the lateral breadth of the skull, while some early moderns were the opposite and most contemporary non-Europid races are the same, etc...

    Would you maybe prefer an entourage of prognatious Australids of Skhul 5 type with strong prognatious face, flattish nose and equatorial proportions of the arms and legs as ancestry,...be my guest ;-)
