A friend forced me to watch "Memento" yesterday. By the end I had to agree that it was a great one and wonder how I have missed it in first place.

    This week I have watched:
Wallander - Hemligheten (I'm addicted to Swedish crime series)

Eragon - I don't really know what to think of this one. It could have been made better, and all seemed so "rushed". Um yeah, the dragon was cute before it grew big and weird though.

Idiocracy - Luke Wilson awakens 500 years in the future and realizes he is the smartest man alive. (Yeah, right..) Anyway, brainless humor does me good sometimes.

Ring of the Nibelungs (known as Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King in the States) - Watched this 1 hour ago. The Nordic legend that inspired J.R.R. Tolkien to write the Lord of the Ring trilogy. I have to say I liked it, even though the filming was crappy at times. (I hate it when you can almost see the snow canon blowing what looks like crumbled paper on the actors' faces, and when it doesn't add up with what's happening in the backgound). Poorly made computer generated backgrounds annoy me, but apart from that I enjoyed the movie.

Sister, I agree with you on the Eragon-bit, it's a good movie IMHO, but as you say: It seems so rushed. You also get the feeling it is very inspirated by LOTR, although it's something different, and the only bad thing about the movie(As said: IMHO) is that it's TOO DAMN SHORT!

I also went to the cinema with my mother and step-dude, and we saw 300.

And I am honest when I say that 300 are perhaps the BEST movie I've ever seen! I can't really describe it, that movie is one of those which you can't stop thinking about afterwards and you want to see it one more time! It's really that great!

They say that it's not historically correct, but the artistic part weights it up

    Beowulf [NOT the movie]

Benjamin Bagby recites and sings (as an Anglo-Saxon bard would have) Beowulf in Old English [with sub-titles] accompanying himself on the Anglo-Saxon harp.
