    WATCHMEN Trailer - official and amazing

    Special Thanks to Paramount and network PR for allowing me the exclusive privilege of bringing the Watchmen Trailer to youtube Direct from official sources and in the highest quality on youtube.

    Watchmen
    A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, Watchmen is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers - Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity...but who is watching the watchmen?

    from IMDB;
    In a gritty and alternate 1985 the glory days of costumed vigilantes have been brought to a close by a government crackdown, but after one of the masked veterans is brutally murdered an investigation into the killer is initiated. The reunited heroes set out to prevent their own destruction, but in doing so discover a deeper and far more diabolical plot. Written by evan murphy

    The Virgin Spring (1960)

    The Virgin Spring tells the story, set in medieval Sweden, of a prosperous Christian-Catholic whose daughter, Karin (Birgitta Pettersson), the "light" child, is appointed to bring candles to the church. She is accompanied by her pregnant foster sister, Ingeri (Gunnel Lindblom), the "dark" child, who secretly worships the ancient Norse deity Odin.

    Based on a 13th century folksong.

    A black man, Samuel L Jackson, kills two white guys who raped his daughter and is charged with murder and is facing a possible death penalty and a lawyer, Matthew Mcwhatshisname, tries to save him. Members of the KKK wants to see Jackson's character dead for what he's done and throughout the movie there is a build-up of violence and intimidation perpetrated against Mcwhatshisname and Sandra Bullock's character.

    The movie's not bad but the plot is just ridicilous, white men gang raping a black girl and then you got members of the KKK supporting the rapists and wanting Jackson's character, whom everyone will of course sympathise with, dead. Liberal propaganda is what it is.

    Granted, I'd not read the graphic novel before seeing it. But my friend who I saw it with is one of the real crazy-into-it people (enough so that he allowed me to draw a magic marker mustache on him so he could go as the Comedian), and he said it was a really good adaptation. The theatre broke into applause when the credits rolled.
