Recently i've seen "HERO" , a real "Wu Xia Pian" Kolossal starring Jet li and directed by the great chinese director Zhang Yimou. SUPER-CULT. (probably, superior to the more famous "Crouching tiger, Hidden Dragon")

I say both are, but its entertainment you know, both have speed.

Hero is a great movie indeed, in my opinion one of the best Asian movies of that kind.

At the moment I'm waiting for Harrison Bergeron, nice topic, probably not the best production though, I should have been the director, always wanted to make movies with similar, but more complex and mystic plots:

Yes, Hero was fantastic - one of the best films I've ever seen.

Something interesting: I found out later that Hero was conceived, at least in part, as a propaganda vehicle in the PRC's ongoing campaign to get the ROC (Taiwan) to reunite.

Some people say "House of the Flying Daggers" is a better movie, but I dont think so, neither if its about the artistic aspect, nor if its about the message, the moral of the movie. It was a more individualistic, more simple movie, I liked "Hero" and its message much more, not to speak of its better realism.

I agree. I was disappointed with House of the Flying Daggers in comparison to Hero. I thought Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was better too.

2046, a film by Wong Kar Wai, the same director of In the Mood for Love.

Life is a Miracle, a film by Emir Kusturica, the Original Sound Track is excellent as the film is. Although I can´t distinguish him from Goran Bregowizch.

Happy Christmas Mr. Lawrence by Nagisa Oshima, a cult film on three sides:
first for all Bowie´s admirers, second for Ryuchi Sakamoto splendid Soundtrack and the first appearance on international screen of Takeshi Kitano as the Japanese Sargent. (Waiting to watch his "takeshis")

    And the rest...c´est litterature.

Saw all three movies. Yes great movies. Thought Hero by far was the best in all aspects.

Saw the Transporter 2. Great action movie. Albeit somewhat unrealistic.
Land of the Dead is a good movie. I found it more humorous than scary, good story line.

I saw a semi-modernised version of Titus Andronicus simply called Titus. It stars Anthony Hopkins as the General Titus...and a host of other lesser known actors.

At the beginning of the film its easy to get annoyed since it starts with the victorious entrance of the Roman army (in automobiles and so forth)...however after that the movie simply get better and you simply cannot get anough.

    Simply love the dialogue:

LUCIUS: Art thou not sorry for these heinous deeds?

AARON: Ay, that I had not done a thousand more.
