@Gag: This is what I tried to send you :p We've seen it now, and although the animations are crappy and seems low-budget, it was really true to the book We should rent it when I come home next week Besides, I would have hated too see it become a Hollywood success (if they had decided to make a real movie, not an animated one), it's too precious!
Ah, yes. I just saw this movie at the videostore myself, and it disgusted me. I am sorry to say this, sister, but I am boicotting this movie. Just because I don't want that movie to ruin the charm of the Dragonlance-books.

Why must they always make a film based on the good books? :runaway

@Gag: Haha, I'm inches away from giving you a neg rep here, disgusted?? Why? I think it's worth seeing as a fan of the books, and although I prefer reading them myself, it was actually fun seeing this movie. As I said, it was spot on true to the book, the backgrounds and characters are pretty much based on Roger Elmore's drawings, and I will force you to see it with me

Awesome! They are the best, I've been hooked for many years now and I think I own somewhere between 50-100 books. Never come around to read Salvatore's Forgotten Realms though..

have I missed something here. Does this film have its own thread because it is so good? I watch it about once a fortnight.
    LotR definitely.
King Arthur (despite the poor showing from Clive Owen)

    The Dark Knight
Could be one of the best films I've ever seen, the Joker completely stole the show.

No country for old men, on DVD.
It’s up there with the movie Fargo. Really top-class film.

(and a top class book by Cormac McCarthy)
