    The Mummy (1999) again

Its just so awesome i watch it again sometimes

The High Priest Imhotep was in love with Pharoah Seti I's mistress Anck-Su-Namun, as the Pharoah's mistress no man was allowed to touch her except for the Pharoah himself, she wore an oil-like substance which would smudge if she was touched and the Pharoah would know she had been touched.

Seti saw she had been touched and found that Imhotep had touched her, Anck-Su-Namun then stabbed the Pharoah and Imhotep finished him off, the Pharoah's bodyguards then burst into the room and Imhotep's priests take him away, to stop the bodygaurds capturing or killing Imhotep and Anck-Su-Namun stabbed herself in the stomach.

Imhotep and his priests broke into her tomb and removed her mummy, they took her mummy to Hamunaptra -the City of the Dead where the wealth of Egypt was kept and tried to bring her back to life. However the Pharoah's bodyguards discovered them and stopped Imhotep from completing the ritual and Anck-Su-Namun's soul returned to the Duat - the underworld. For his crimes Imhotep suffered the Hom-Dai, a terrible curse in which Imhotep was buried with scarabs which very slowly ate him death whilst his priests were mummified alive.

3000 years later Imhotep was brought back and began to regenerate by killing and absorbing the life-force of those who went to Hamunaptra and found the Book of the Dead and unleashed the 10 Plagues of Egypt.

Later Rick, Jonathan and Ardeth Bay returned to Hamunaptra to find Imhotep and kill him - who was trying to bring Anck-Su-Namun back from the underworld again. After a battle between Rick and mummies and Evelyn against re-animated Anck-Su-Namun's mummy Jonathan read from the Book of Amun-Ra which took away Imhotep's immortal powers and made him mortal, Rick then ran his sword through Imhotep's stomach and killed him.

    An awesome film!

    Apollo 18.

It was pretty good, it starts out kind of slow but after 20-30 min it's interesting.
    Proud to be Germanic.

Even though my ancestry is English, Germany is my favorite country.

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre

It's an oldie but a really great movie. It cleaned up at the Oscars too, not that that's the ultimate hallmark of a good film.
Close observation may result in feelings of horror, wonder and awe at world you find yourself inhabiting.

As my current avatar indicates, I recently watched Hobo with a Shotgun. Though it is not for everyone (extreme, graphic violence) I really enjoyed it. It is a homage to the late 70s/early 80s "grindhouse" action movies and it is so well done on that level that it is almost impossible to tell that it was made last year. It is the story of a hobo who arrives in a terrible city that is run by a drug dealer mob boss who controls the cops and terrorizes everyone. Needless to say, the Hobo (played to perfection by Rutger Hauer) comes to the point that he has had enough, grabs a shotgun and starts "delivering justice, one shell at a time"

Despite the excessive violence and dark imagery, it is actually quite funny in many parts. The bad guys are so bad that you can't help but cheer when the hobo catches up with them. Every type of stereotypical scumbag makes an appearance in the film (from a child-molester dressed as santa claus, to a disgusting black pimp) and everyone of them gets what he deserves.

One warning, the movie is extremely violent. There were parts that made me, a life-long horror-genre fan, feel a bit squeamish. Unlike most newer movies which use CGI graphics for the horror sequences, in this movie the blood and gore is predominantly done with models, props and prosthetic devices. The end result is disturbingly realistic in many scenes.

I just finished watching Trolljegeren. I actually quite enjoyed it. They way they linked the classic Trolls to our modern living was pretty cool. Also, it featured some breathtaking scenes in Norway. The special effects were not too bad either.
All things must come to the soul from it's roots, from where it is planted. The that is beside the running water is fresher, and gives more fruit.

The Kittelsen trolls are great. I wish they didn't use Robert Stoltenberg, I really dislike him. But luckily he had only a small part.

Hollywood is gonna remake the trollhunter now
