Post City COuncil of Vienna Plans to Desacrate Walter Nowotny's Grave!a, Austria

Protest against Planned Desecration of a Grave in Vienna, Austria

At the request of the “Grünen” (the Green Party of Austria) the City Council of Vienna has decided to have the grave of the fighter pilot Walter Nowotny removed from the honored section of the Wiener Zentralfriedhof (Central Cemetery of Vienna). The Vienna authorities intend to exhume the major who fell in 1944 and dispose of his remains elsewhere.

In Austria, Germany and Switzerland lists of signatures are being collected of people who protest in the strongest terms at this disturbance of the dead and the desecration of a grave and demand that the pilot’s remains continue to be allowed to rest in peace where they now are in the honored section of the cemetery.

Collected signatures will be sent to the address shown below:

    Office of Stadtrad Herzog
    Rathaus
    A-1010 Vienna

Autumn blows through me dread of parting,
and my heart dreams and longs to die.

Real misanthropes are not found in solitude, but in the world; since it is experience of life, and not philosophy, which produces real hatred of mankind.

I have heard of this aswell. I don't care, neither would Walter - cause he is dead. It is a superstition to think a dead body have a value of any kind. The removal of him from a memorial is differen't, it is important to remember the people who fought.
Die Grünen are abunch of crazy people anyhow.
