    Post Traditional European music

I much enjoy listening to traditional folk music from all European cultures. It is like listening to the past and should not be forgotten.I would appreciate it if members could post some audio files from their respective countries.

I'd love to if someone can tell me how to do that.
Do I have to host audio files?
Is there a site I can upload them to?

For those of you who love black metal, and traditional european folk music, I will suggest a few bands. Taake, from Norway is an amazing band that fuses almost all traditional norweigan folk melodies with distorted guitars and black metal vocals. The end result is very satisfying, to me. Thralldom is another good band where the folk influence is prominant. Of course, I can't leave out Kampfar. Mny people will want to throw in Vintersorgs band OTYG, because of their obvious brand of "folk metal", though to me they seem more cheesy than anything, mainly because I cannot stand Vintersorgs voice, or his solo project, or the aweful Borknager.

Anyway, those bands are very heavily influenced by traditional European folk music.

Thanks, I will check those bands out, maybe find some mp3s. There is a black metal/traditional folk(What a mix) called Temnozor from Russia, very good band.

Yes I know of Temnozer. I thought they were from the Ukraine, though. Perhaps I am wrong.

    Post The Lonesome Boatsman

I'm not sure who this Irish tune was first written by.
I first heard it by the Furey Brothers, but have heard countless people cover it.I think it's a traditional tune.
I like this version by the Irish Brigade:

I wonder if we can get it sorted out.

As would I. Had I realized that we were able to upload mp3s I would have done so long ago. Unfortunately my computer is almost bare of mp3s considering I had to reformat my hard drive a few weeks ago (I lost a thousand mp3s), but I would love to hear new music and share my own preferences and recieve feedback on them.
