Post How long do you normally spend on the computer in a day?

Just out of common interest, I was wondering what the average amount of time you guys spend on the computer per day? On a normal week day in the winter I woud usually spend one to two hours per day, usually working on the assignments or reading forums or news related sites. Since I am vacation now and not working, I am probably spending about two hours a day surfing the web.

About 18 hours per day when I have to work. Twelve to fourteen hours when I do not have to work.
And all my youth passed by sad-hearted,
    the joy of Spring was never mine;
Autumn blows through me dread of parting,
and my heart dreams and longs to die.

    - Nikolaus Lenau (1802-1850)

Real misanthropes are not found in solitude, but in the world; since it is experience of life, and not philosophy, which produces real hatred of mankind.

    - Giacomo Leopardi (1798-1837)

The time I would spend on the computer would fluctuate from winter to summer.

Currently, now that I am off from school until September, I would probably spend roughly 3 hours per day on the computer.

In the winter, when school takes up most of my day, I would spend around 1-2 hours on the computer.

However, if I have a 1500-2000 word essay due the next day that I have somehow failed to prepare for (happens more than you think), the time period extends to 3-4 hours.

About an hour,on forums.I'm astonished that so many spend over four hours on the computer. That has to be work related.Does anyone use a special seat or posture for viewing this thing?

Certainly recommended, like an ergonomic, "natural" keyboard. No comparison. Once one gets accustomed to it, one would never like to change back.

Roughly 4 hours a night. When I arrive home from work I usually park myself in front of the computer until time for sleep.
    Its better than watching television.
On the weekends, I am on much less frequently.

For extended use I recommend a quiet system, with a low emission LCD with high refresh rate and good clarity to reduce eye strain.

Using an ergonomic keyboard, mouse, and chair, would also be a good idea. Although with the keyboard you might become less proficient at using the standard one, which you may need to use if you use other people's computers.
