Instead of becoming a Vegeterian/Vegan I'd rather put effort into making the life better for the animals. Although I doubt the animals in Sweden and many other Western coutries are treated that badly, at least it's an issue that people care about.

While I have no idea, I will assume they did in fact eat meat when they were children. I do believe most of them are straight edge though which means no steroid use.

This thread should be called 101 lies to make you a slave. Many of these things can be disproved. Meat is an important part of the human diet in small amounts. Balance is the right way for me. If someone wants to be a vegan or what ever that should be their choice.

How does not paying a Jew to molest a chicken make you a slave?

And I am not sure what exactly you think meat does for a human diet. It is entirely optional.

    Really now...

I personally have never heard of one truely good reason to remove meat from a diet. My logic being that since the begining of human existence, we have been omnivores. And as far as I can see, it has been working very well. So why stop? Plus, meat tastes great.

Methane doesn't deplete Ozone, in fact it is used in its creation.

Ozone is formed in the troposphere by chemical reactions involving methane, other organic compounds, and carbon monoxide, in the presence of nitrogen oxides and sunlight. Methane is known to be a major source of ozone throughout the troposphere, but is not usually considered to play a key role in the production of ozone smog in surface air, because of its long lifetime.

(Although the article is outdated and ir may now be believed that methane has no role in the creation of Ozone, it is still believed that it does not deplete Ozone.)

    Colon cancer.

    Good enough?

My logic being that since the begining of human existence, we have been omnivores.
We evolved this over time. If you notice our teeth, they are for chewing, not tear/swallowing. A canine, for example, does not chew normally.

Carnivores also drink with the back of their tongue. We drink like herbivores. While we are still omnivores, eating vegetation is more natural to us. Meat, as I said before, is entirely optional. There is not a single thing in it we need (B12 is from bacteria, in case you wanted to say that). Only those in extreme climates where vegetation is not available really need it.

We also have reproduced so rapidly due to vegetation, not meat. Carnivores are meant to be the few at the top, not the many (compare deer population to bear population, or whatever).

And as far as I can see, it has been working very well. So why stop? Plus, meat tastes great.
Beef ranching being worse than CO2 pollution is not 'working very well', nor is the modern rate of cancer.

This is also largely to blame on Amercia rather than meat in general.

Correct. Instead it leads to the 'Green House Effect'.

The Ozone issue has actually been cleared up. It is repairing itself naturally and should be fine in about 50 years, as if we never touched it. CFC (Chloroflorocarbons, or something like that) is what caused the problem, not Methane.

Exactly. Since the ban of CFCs the "hole" in the Ozone layer has moved to above the South Pole. The only sunlight that gets there has been bent around the atmosphere and is very dim as a result. The hole has essentially closed.
