Chimps also like to live on trees, eat lice and are quite happy with getting a baby each year from different men. Bad comparison, actually.

It's annoying when humans compared to that of say, a chimp or other mammal (or other creatures at all). We're humans, not animals! We have a different set of standards, thankfully, or else we'd all still be in the jungle or the plains, searching for food, and being food to others!

Being the highest member on the food chain has its perks.

Of course, I don't mind it if others refuse to consume meat (or any other animal product or byproduct) in their diets. Quite simply, it means more for me.

Yes, but you miss my point. They can live perfectly healthy on a vegetarian diet, so can we. The Japanese are known for having long life spans and the Japanese diet is vegetarian with the exception of raw sea-food.

Sorry, but pigs, whose genes are also very similar to humans, can perfectly live on eating rubbish, even excrements, and turn all this into protein.

So this means we can do it, too?

Just because chimps are able to stay healthy while not eating meat, this does not stand for that we can do it, too. See the example mentioned above.

In fact, I think you missed the point.

And speaking of Japanese: Well, they LOVE chicken and pork. They don't just live on Sushi, you know. But this is a clichée most people get from poor TV documentaries. You should visit the country, like I did, and people from the country, not living in the big cities, very rarely eat Sushi, but slaughter their own meat. Did you for example know that Japan is the second biggest importer of pork meat? There's a per head consuption of 17 kg meat in Japan, 60% of this demand is satisfied with imported pork meat.

Unfortunately I've got only a German source for this, bute anyway for those who understand here it is.

Chimps are not solely vegetarian as some people would believe. As well as eating insects they are known to going on frenzied hunt/murder raids...attacking and killing small monkeys & their offspring. Also cannibalism between rival groups of chimps have also been recorded....ganging up on one and tearing it to shreds..lovely animal...eyes:

So far, I'd never read so ridiculous arguments... Excuse me, but I'd to say it. The main thing is about Capitalism what is exploiting Earth and natural ressources. The people arguments make me feel sick (plenty of arguments have a source in anti-white self-hating guilty feeling)... Capitalism once again, nothing to do with "meat eaters". This term is annoying... As we'd not not enough with "social classes", groups, categories, etc. to divide us... Not to mention ideologies... Now that "meat eater" vs vegetarian; it's f@cking ridiculous.

For 6 years I was a vegitarian, eating all that soy and veggies, you know I kept a balanced diet. I gained a ton of wieght and my health deteriorated (I was anemic etc)

I stopped after the 6 years and began eating meat again, it took 2 years for my system to go back to normal and 3 for me to loose nearly 40 pounds.

Although I am one example of this, I would never recommend it to anyone else.

It's in my blood to like meat...
