Septic Flesh - Sumerian Daemons
I heartily recommend this album. I just bought it, got home and slapped it into my comp's cd drive, and thus far I'm on track 6 of this 13 track opus. There's not been a moment the music hasn't held me enraptured either by the melodic, atmospheric and evocative parts, or the brutal, heavy and overbearing riffs and vocals.
I suggest anyone with musical tastes leaning towards the darker, heavier side of music check this album out.

I have never cared for Septic Flesh. Even the band names turns me off.
Yes I admit I don't care for the name either, but if I like them maybe the name will grow on me? Septic flesh could grow on me...uhhh actually eew literally that would be quite gross

Nargaroth, Graveland, Sunwheel, Spear of Longinus, Grom, Nokturnul Mortum, Gontyna Kry, Burzum, Kataxu, Pantheon, Sorhin, Taake, Trelldom, Thralldom, Kampfar, Nachtkult, Aryan Terrorism, Beherit, Der Strumer, Selbstmord, Thors Hammer, Veles plus many more...
Immolation, Excommunion, Vital Remains, and a few others are about the only death metal I can tolerate.
Also I like a lot of neo-industrial/darkwave/ whatever you want to call it nowadays
As well as Johnny Cash, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Big Wreck, The Tea party, Kyuss, all Patton projects
I think I'll check some of those out when I get home. I'll also post a list of my current musical interests, I've been somewhat detached from the "scene" so to speak for a while now due to lack of funds and a lack of interest in reading metal magazines, but now my interest as a whole has been rekindled beyond the occasional recommendation from friends for albums they think I'd like.
