FIG. 1 (3 views). An Armenian from Istanbul, facially a classic Armenoid type. Like many Armenians, he is dark-skinned.
FIG. 2 (3 views). An Armenian from Kharput. . Note the extreme face length, a measurement which differentiates Armenians as a group from the shorter-faced Turks.
FIG. 3 (3 views). A tall, slender Armenian from Van; typical of the eastern Armenians, who are lighter-skinned, taller, and longer in all sagittal dimensions of the body, head and face than the western Arnienians.
FIG.4 (3 views). A Van Armenian with pinkish-white skin color, blue eyes, and medium brown hair; although hyperbrachycephalic, this individual shows evidence of the Nordic element which gave the Armenians their Indo-European language.
Can you see how Dinaric can be derived from Armenoid? I can.
I see it as well, but when I've brought this up in the past, Dinarics tend to freak out and immediately reply with insults.
Emotionalisms are not a very effective form of rebuttal.
All of those Armenoid Armenians seem to be from Turkey(Istanbul, Van, Harput) Are/Were they really ethnic Armenians or Turks? I wonder if Armenians from the Caucasus differ racially from their bretheren from Turkey? Also, what is the difference between an Armenoid and Dinarid aside from being brachycephalic and having a hooked nose?

Sure, brachycephalic and the prominent nose. Armenoids tend to be shorter I think, uglier, with the nose even more prominent. Although certainly could be explained by an Armenoid+European hybrid why Dinarids look better, etc. Some anthropologists call them sister races.Originally posted by cosmocreator

Historically maybe they were more similar, and Armenoids either developed in a different direction or absorbed more Asiatic ancestry.
Very creative and funny.Originally posted by Thorburn
