I've never understood why Coon included the third gentleman in his "Mediterranean Reemergence in Great Britain" category. This Welshman, to me anyway, looks nothing at all like the other three gracile and delicate individuals. To me, he would have been better sutied in the "Paleolithic Survivals" class.

Also, I see a fair bit of Keltic influence in the other three....especially the first and last individuals shown.

    I agree.

The first individuals thin lips and recessive forehead suggest a Keltic influence.

It would be interesting to know what the fellow's pigmentation is, as that could be what lead Coon to believe that he is predominately Atlanto-Mediterranean.

I have the book at home and I can look tonight as to what they have listed for hair and eye color.

The forehead says "Keltic!" to me as well.

Probably, in the first example it is the nose and mandible as well as color, that makes him an Atlanto-Mediterranean. Perhaps he is also a good example of an iron-age Celt. I can imagine his profile on Roman coinage from the Republic.

Another example of a British Mediterranean is the actress Julie Cox.
