Classify the actors in the movie "Troy"

Is this map supposed to mean that the Urnfeld Culture population was racially ancestral to the Dorian pastoralists, or is it supposed to be relevant for a linguistic or other reason?

If youre implying the racial origin of the Dorians was further north, then Poulianos argues that this type is the most conservative example of Caucasoids.

I would explain it that way: If a pred. Nordid clan started from Central Europe, this doesnt mean that on the other end of the movement the invading clans in Greece were as Nordid, even if they came because of the same ethno-cultural movement.

Venetians and Illyrians took over the new "Urnfield culture" which was something like a "movement", probably associated with new religious believes, and if looking at the society, for sure new social structures.

The type of the Dorians today is seperate from those of the settled, urban Greeks, but I feel the Dorian innvaders were native to Greece and not immigrants from outside Greece. I suggest they were a successful group that was exploiting the situation at the end of the LBA,

Well, Dorians were from central-west Balkans... the other ancient invaders probably from similar locations... they weren't Nordics from Scandinavia.

There is a lot of evidence that the Dorians had a Central European/Danubian origin. I will probably create a thread about it.

Just a quick scan out of "Die Rückkehr der Herakliden" by Jürgen Spanuth. The whole book deals with the topic of the Dorian invasion and its reflection in the Heracles-myth which, btw, mentions a Nordic origin of the Heraclides.

I disagree, to be honest. From what i've studied on Biasutti books, Balkanian populations are not so different from the central European populations in terms of pigmentation. In a certain sense, there is a notable nordish ancestry in native balkanian populations. A BIG fraction of Balkanic area, is NOT a Mediterranean domain, at all (I don't consider the Dinarid group to be part of the Mediterranean race)

But I heard that Helena from Troy was a redhaired and was considered to be the most beautifull woman of the world . But due to this wicked society we live in, they wanted to have a blonde to play here role. Because nowadays "redheads" are not a synonim for beauty but blondes are... I can't give you the link from where I got it, because this was some time ago I read it.
