    Post A Poem I Wrote...

    I wrote this poem about two years ago, and lately I've been revising all my old writing. I wouldn't say this is the finalized version, not at all, but here it is...

    (Currently untitled)

    The violent Heart will find no rest;
    Nor after it's final beat shall it cease
    This vicious ache incased under it's victim's chest

    How ironic;

    That what should give life drowns this body
    In a blaze of burning red blood-
    Internal chaos born by it's tryst with marbled, calloused skin,
    Longing to turn on itself and set free the boiling flood

    Imprisoned;

    In twisting, turning vines of stone and ice;
    A constant rythym determined only in the purpose to wear away,
    Whilst the cacophonous melody echoes throughout the vessel.
    And after All...

    The blood but hardens to clay.
    I envision a world where people dawning long white robes and elaborate headdresses run rampant down the streets, waving their arms in the air while screaming "we've gone mad, we've gone mad", like defrocked monks breaking the silence of ages past.

    Spoonblade: Sharper than a knife and twice as deadly.

    Thumbs Down @Vanessa

    Lovely, I like it - it has much depth and makes one ponder.

    I'll see if I can find any of the poems I wrote. If I can, I'll post them. I usually write things then throw them out or sometimes give them away.

    Post One of Mine

    This is the only one I could find. There was another I was hoping to find but it may be lost forever. I've altered this one slightly from the original. It was written probably about 7-8 years ago.

    Two Hearts As One

    Two red roses for a love so deep
    Two white roses for pure hearts in God's keep
    The path I followed led to you
    A love made in Heaven, always true
    A love like yours, forever cherish
    For you are the fountain on which I flourish
    Without you, I can not go on
    For your love is what I long
    Though we've only met, we're never apart,
    for every day, you're in my heart
    and every day, my love grows stronger
    now that we're apart no longer
    Two hearts as one
    What wondrous thing has just begun?
    Let your word flow like a river,
    and whisper to me those words that last forever
    I dreamed a dream, for you to be mine
    will you be my valentine?

    Are you a hopeless romantic?

    I am. I really am.

    That poem was actually written for a dj at a radio station in Montreal. I used to email her and she would talk to me over the air waves. On Valentines Day, I delivered in person that poem with roses to her at the station. She read the poem over the air.

    Post And Another One

    Blossom

    A chance encounter, a sprouting forth,
    a taking root, and striving forward
    to celestrial heights, proclaim the course.
    Greatness forever calling, onward! ONWARD!

    Too much sun will wilt the leaves
    Too much rain will rot the root
    Carefully nurtured of all its needs
    beautifully flowering, none would moot.

    Here in lies the allegorical truth;
    cherishing togetherness, never let die;
    faithfully wed to the promise of youth.
    Blossom is an expression of you and I.

    Post And Yet Another One

    Forever and Always

    If you could think,
    of all things that are to be,
    two hearts, apart, yet inseparably link’d
    ...Forever and always, you and me.

    If you could hear the song
    of love birds sitting atop a tree.
    Baby birds feelin’ they belong.
    ... Forever and always, you and me.

    If you could see waves caressing the shore,
    and the rhythms of the sea,
    under starry moon lit night wore
    ... Forever and always, you and me.

    If you could taste the vivacity of life’s sweetness,
    and in your hands, the key,
    to unlimited wonders of greatness
    ... Forever and always, you and me.

    If you could feel the powerful river of evermore,
    flowing through the veins of ye...
    having to feel the pain or sorrow of broken hearts nevermore
    ... Forever and always, you and me.

    If you could smell the fragrance of fresh roses,
    and you let it carry you alee
    to sense what this one man proposes.
    ... Forever and always, you and me.

    Post Another

    On This Winter’s Day

    Another year passes, day after day
    These words are written, feel there’s something to say
    They come from the heart
    A longing for something to start
    A coming together, two beget one
    Beautifully enduring ordainment begun
    Bonds of love, not to be broken
    Truth of the soul, like these words rhythmically spoken
    If the intent in this truth to be known
    It is the reason of this missive you are shown
    On this winter’s day of St. Valentine
    Will you be mine?
