Does traditional dress differ greatly between Swedes, Nowegians, and Icelandics? I would imagine they would probably be pretty similar.

    Post Icelandic traditional dress

I would think they are all pretty similar, since they're all Scandinavian cultures.

Here's an example of Icelandic dress:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. (John 1:1-4)

Hey, what about the Celts? ;-)

This is a link to a Scandinavian folk fest held each year in New
    Jersey
    http://websearch.cs.com/cs/boomframe...Ffokdress.html

According to the site the Viking helmet such as below was never actually worn by Vikings but was invented as a prop by Richard Wagner for one of hsi operas; they wore more traditional helmets in reality. :-)
Turman found a copy of The Graduate, and thought highly enough of the story that he made a movie he considered to be 90-percent faithful to the book.

But Turman and director Mike Nichols made one key adaptation, changing the Braddocks from WASP-y blonde characters into a dark-haired, more ethnic-looking family.

They show a bit of different phenotypes. All look nice and neat.

The North Frisian islanders are definitely more on the Nordid side. They are Nordid inasmuch as the most Nordid Norwegian. It is not surprising though as the coastal region of Germany is in many ways just an extension of the folk stock in Southwestern Scandinavia. The national borders between Sweden, Norway, Denmark and that NW German region are not sharp anthropological borders.

I have read that ethnic Germans from Transylvania are very Nordid but one cannot see it in the case of the two females on left. I also added some pictures of ethnic Germans outside German land.

Nice fotos - might you have some more information on these (origin, region, etc.)?
In keeping with the Volksdeutsche theme...
