Freia is Norwegian, Marabou is Swedish, Milka is more spread around Europe. All of them have "Mondelez International" as label nowadays, so they should have some similarities, I suppose.

Actually Milka from Germany doesn't taste like Milka in Romania. The one in Germany tastes much better. It seems lots of companies have double standard when it comes to Western and Eastern Europe. Everything tastes worse in Eastern Europe (including Czech Republic, they were complaining about it!), of those international products produced for certain countries. I can't eat chocolate in Romania, I don't like it.

While I was in a grocery store today I saw a new kind of chocolate near the register and bought it. It tasted terrible. I actually felt sick after eating it. It is a Snickers but made with Maple and almond butter.

I never had any of those either.

I occasionally satisfy my desire for chocolate with a Hershey bar.

My all time favorite candy is Mon Cheri but they don't sell them in the USA anymore (or none of the stores that carried them carry them anymore).

Update: Walmart sells them online but it is $24.80 for 15 small pieces. Only 3 left! That's too much money. I'm frugal.

edit: It's a 2 pack, so that is 30 pieces! Almost bought it.

Thank you for the suggestion! I've never heard of Frellsen, but next time I'm in Denmark I will sample some.

My wife used to buy them in California at World Market.
Some German delicatessen had them too.
