Post "Danubian culture-Bearers" of the Neolithic

Let me get this straight, the "Danubian culture-bearers" of the Neolithic were the ones who who brought agriculture and the Indo-European language to northern Europe ca. 3,500 BC.

So therefore all Europeans share a common ancestry and the Danubian culture-bearers came from where? The Danubian basin or The Middle East or both?

No, agriculture was brought to Europe before the Danubians. Thousands of years before. But it was a Mediterranean people from the Middle East that brought it.

It is assumed that the Danubians brought the IE languages to Europe and that they originated around the Danube.

OK, but the Danube river IS in Europe so how could they have "brought the IE languages to Europe."

The people whom became the Danubians probably moved to the Danube region from out of Southern Russia. They already had a language at this time.
According to the most popular theory it was a mingling of this language with a second language - that of the Corded Ware/Battle Axe people - which produced proto-Indo-European.
