Exclamation My Relatives? SCHÜTZ from Ostpreussen

I've found possible relatives in Prussia.
The family surname ( and variants are )

    SCHUETZ
    SCHUTZ
    SCHÜTZL
    SCHÜTZLE
    SCHÜTZLER
    SCHEITZ

I've tested my Y-chromosome, and found that I belong to
the E3b haplogroup, of a specific sub-clade alpha which originated
in the Balkans. The Balkan origin is determined with the DYS460 value being at 9, which these families also have. We also share more than 20 haplotypes, which points to these families being related to mine genetically.

But, that's not all. Recently I realized that my surname ( which is Slavic ) means 'Soldier' or 'Warrior' ( in archaic or modern form, in several Slavic languages ).
The surname of these families has that same meaning, only in Germanic form.

This is the only information I've found about these families:
    SCHÜTZ family lived at
    Laugallen, Kr. Heydekrug, Ostpreussen c1800-1850.
    Some moved to Danzig.
I think they traced their oldest ancestor, a person named
    Johann Christian SCHÜTZ 1790 - 1860.

    Also:
    Earliest documented record is
Christian SCHÜTZ / SCHUETZ, aka Johann Christian,
    born c1801, living c1820-1845 Laugallen/Kukoreiten/Mantwieden,
Kr. Heydekrug, Ostpreussen (now Lithuania 2003). Later, some of
this SCHÜTZ / SCHUETZ family lived in Danzig c1855-1892.
Children of Christian & Juliana (geb. MOSTAEDT/MOSTAIT) SCHÜTZ were Friederike Wilhelmine, Johann Christian, Carl Ferdinand, Friedrich Wilhelm, Amalie, Gottlieb -- all christianed Evangelsche at Laugallen.

My family, has had its Slavic surname since the early 17th century, and
lived in Montenegro. They were all Orthodox Christians.
Judging by the genetic data and the age, I think the Schuetz ( and variant surnames ) have splintered from my family, and then became Germanized
at some point in their existence.

There's also a part of my family which became Albanized some 150-200 years ago. They carry a phonetically similar, Albanized version of my surname.

I'd much appreciate if anyone can find any information on how
this family got from the Balkans into East Prussia, how from Montenegrins they became Germanic Prussians. The surname's meaning possibly could be an indicator.

Maybe this could be a basis for an interesting novel

    Just throw some information in.
    Thanks in advance!

Hm, I don´t mean to discourage you but Schütz isn´t a very seldom name in Germany and it also doesn´t necessarily mean "warrior", more likely "protector".

AWAR, I know a Schütz named person here, and he is jewish. He says, that his grandfather Salamon Schütz died in Mauthausen.
Not sure that this info helped or not.

Yes, but this isn't about just the surname, it's about the fact
that my Y-chromo haplotype is almost identical to two of these Schuetz families.
More than 20 haplotypes and a similarity in the surname.

My surname has the Slavic meaning which can be interpreted in those ways.
    'Soldier', 'Warrior', 'Battle', etc.

Awar has an interesting SCHUETZ posting, and I wonder whether he and I have corresponded? If we did, my 78 years are not helping my memory. Apparently Awar, you saw a website or two of mine, but I am especially intrigued by your Y-DNA items because, to date, I lack anyone close to my Y-DNA -- by close, I mean later than 1700. Awar, did you have factual ancestors in Kr. Heydekrug, Ostpreussen? I hope we have further facts to compare.

My grandmother's maiden name on my polish side was "Sommerfeld" which derives from German, but I've heard it's rare in Germany. Then again, perhaps, one of my ancestors was a long bearded rabbi...
Oh well, that side of the family is extremely nordish at least

There are/were considerable SOMMERFELD, aka SOMMERFELDT in Germany, past and present. For example -
    1. More than 800 SOMMERFELD listed in the 2005 German telephone directory, including 300+ in Berlin.
    2. The LDS website at www.familysearch.com has 400+, mostly northern Germany in the 1800's.

If you have kin names born in the 1800's, there might be some interesting possibilities for you.
